Warrior
No matter how broken I am
No matter how defeated
When I feel like giving into the sea
The one that threatens to drown me
When I feel as if I am alone
Dead and empty
I keep pushing forward
I keep my head up
I smile through the pain
I stay strong
I don’t give in to the demons that threaten me
I don’t let failure weigh on my mind
I am a warrior
And I fight
And I battle
And I cope
And I learn to make it through day to day
Because in reality I am strong
We all are strong

We are fragile creations
Easily bent but we do not break when the storm rolls
through
We taste what we are made of
When we are pushed and shoved
The candle of your soul will not blow out in
the wind
It might feel like we can’t take anymore
It might feel like we are dead and numb
That no amount of love will reach us
But it does
As we wake for another day
Another day of life granted in our depression
Because when times get bad
We fall to our knees and ask for strength
And we rise with the answer
We hold on through the anger, the tears
Because each of us has a warrior that replies
to the storm
As it whispers for us to kneel before it
We are the storm
